experience design, narrative design, product design

I believe in the powerful combination of strategy and story and I'm passionate about collaboration across disciplines to engage audiences. With a decade of experience in Education (as a teacher!), another decade at the Walt Disney Company as a Sr. Writer, and the last 7 years in Health Tech and purpose-driven copy, I love creating meaningful stories and strategic communications. Currently, I’m Director of Story at a game company called Carbon Counts on a game called EverForest—where we’re turning players into real life forces of nature.

As well as building brands with organizations I deeply admire, I’m also the creator of several book series with artist Neil Hooson. No matter the project—from creating brand copy to ad scripts to chapter books, graphic novels, websites, in-app dialogue, or microcopy—I’m obsessed with creating immersive, engaging experiences that matter.

Every morning, I wake up early, get my coffee, and carve out a bit of time to create. The result of some of these mornings? Three published book series with co-creator, the very talented Neil Hooson.

Snazzy Cat Capers (published by Macmillan’s Imprint) is an illustrated chapter book series for kids aged 9-11 about Ophelia von Hairball, the world’s #1 cat burglar!

Glam Prix Racers (published by Macmillan’s Fiewel & Friends) is a graphic novel series for kids aged 7-10 about magical racers and vehicles looking to win a race—and save Glittergear Island.

Marshmallow Martians (published by Penguin Random House) is a graphic novel series for younger kids (aged 5-8) about sweet, squishy aliens who visit planet Earth with endless wonder and curiosity.

Things I’m passionate about…

With my personal writing, I’m developing more kids’ fiction (always)! I’m also obsessed with creating delightful non-fiction content—especially as it relates to making our world a better place.
